WINDY WITH A CHANCE OF

Summer Concert Essentials

It is rare to go through the whole summer in Chicago without hitting up a few concerts along the way, intentional or not. Between all the street fests going on, Ravinia, Lolaapalooza and scheduled musician tours, each weekend guarantees happiness for music lovers. While I would certainly not call myself a music buff by any means, I definitely love the atmosphere and outfits that come with the music scene! With that said I have put together my summer concert essentials to help those tough concert outfit decisions.

Invest in some Jorts. Just do it, you wont regret.// A flowy tank, like this one from topshop, is crucial for beating the summer heat, and you wont be fussing with it all night (comfort is key). // A sturdy pair of flats will keep you on your feet dancing all summer long! I like these neutral t-straps by Sam Edelman. // Keep it cool in these classic Ray-Bans. // Splurge a bit with this over the shoulder, metallic Tory Borch bag. It’s the perfect size to hold your phone, ID and lip gloss (you will regret bringing much more than that!) and will keep your hands free all evening long! // Arm candy it up with a few great bangles like this one from Noir Jewelry. // Keep plenty of hair ties around to whisk your hair up for those hot summer nights. These hair ties from Bop Basic are great and do not leave a “kink” in your hair!

This weekend I will be making my first Solider Field appearance for the Tim McGraw & Kenny Chesney concert! Waaay excited!

Chicago Concert Checklist:

  • Ravinia Festival held at Chicago Botanical Gardens
  • Lollapalooza. Complete madness with Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Black Keys in their 2012 line-up!
  • Grant Park Music Festival. Being in the heart of the city underneath the Chicago Skyline is worth going no matter who is playing!
